Dementia Screening

Prodia Targets 20,000 More Participants in 2026 After 40,000 Joined Last Year’s Free Dementia Screening

10 February 2026

With its 2026 Free Dementia Screening Program, Prodia is expanding access to early detection of cognitive impairment as part of its ESG and sustainable healthcare commitments.

Jakarta, 9 February 2026 – PT Prodia Widyahusada Tbk (ticker symbol: PRDA) is set to organize another Free Dementia Screening Program in 2026, following the high number of participants and their great reception to the program in 2024–2025, which successfully had a total of 40,000 participants across Indonesia. This program is intended for seniors and aims to reach 20,000 participants across Indonesia. The sustainability of this initiative affirms Prodia’s commitment to promoting early detection of cognitive disorders while implementing the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) sustainability pillars, particularly the social aspect by Promoting Healthcare Services for All, which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

Dementia is characterized by cognitive impairment, including loss of memory, language, and thinking abilities, which can affect a person’s independence and quality of life. Therefore, early detection is crucial to determine appropriate preventive measures and treatment from the outset. According to Alzheimer’s Disease International, around 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia, and this figure is expected to triple by 2050. In Indonesia alone, it is estimated that more than 1.2 million people have dementia, necessitating increased awareness of and access to early detection of dementia.

Prodia’s Business & Marketing Director, Indriyanti Rafi Sukmawati, said, “The success of the Dementia Screening Program is inseparable from the great enthusiasm and reception from the public since we first implemented this program. This indicates a growing awareness among the people, particularly seniors, of the risks of dementia and the importance of early detection as a preventive measure to maintain quality of life in old age,” Indriyanti said.

In 2026, Prodia will once again organize a Free Dementia Screening Program for people aged 50 years and older at Prodia Clinic branches. The screening is held in stages, starting with the AD-8 INA Questionnaire, followed by the MOCA-INA administered by a Prodia doctor for participants with a score ≥2. Participants who are indicated to experience a decline in cognitive functioning will be referred for further tests and consultations with a neurologist or geriatric internist at the Prodia Senior Health Center located in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar. In 2025, this program drew nearly 30,000 participants, exceeding the target of 20,000 by more than 140%. This figure represents a significant increase from the previous year’s participants, which was around 10,000. This increase was thanks to various public education activities that raised awareness of the importance of early detection of dementia.

On the same occasion, Prodia’s AVP of Business, Indri Marya Wulandari, added that participants in this program receive not only screening services but also advanced education and referrals for further consultations and tests as needed. “We hope this initiative will encourage people to care more about their brain health and take preventive measures to mitigate the risk of dementia,” she said.

Prodia continues to strengthen various sustainability programs aimed at improving health literacy and equal access to health services for society. To do so, Prodia develops health services that adopt personalized medicine, including the Prodia Senior Health Center, which prioritizes a holistic care approach tailored to everyone’s needs. By sustaining and expanding this initiative, Prodia hopes to encourage the public to be more proactive in maintaining their cognitive function, making the most of early detection, and taking preventive measures to mitigate the risk of dementia and improve quality of life.
